Ioannis Drakopoulos
Ioannis Drakopoulos is one of the founders and managing partners of Dextera Consulting. Ioannis has studied maritime economics and management at University of Piraeus in Greece. He is working in the ICT industry since 1995.
His first assignments as freelance consultant were the creation and maintenece of an economic database with data from the Central Eastern European Countries and the development of business opportunities for French companies mainly. In 1997 Ioannis Drakopoulos is participating at the Managing Group that created one of the first software houses in Greece, specialized in the development of Internet applications and eContent Management Tools. In 2002 he continues his career in the field of localization where he worked as a specialized consultnat for several localization projects of multinational software vendors like Adobe, Microsoft, McAfee, Symantec and others. At the same time he is organising and supporting the bidding team of Atcom S.A. for ICT Public Tenders published within the 2000-2006 Community Support Framework for Greece and under the Operational Program Information Society.
During 2004 Ioannis Drakopoulos begins his cooperation with Cisco Systems B.V., supporting the Greek Public Sector Vertical team providing intelligence on Public Tendering Process as well as information on specific project development. After two succesful years of cooperation, Public Sector Vertical Structural Financing Team assigned to Ioannis to make an analysis for Adriatic countries. This task was completed at the end of 2005 and during 2006 Ioannis starts working for the BRS Region (Bulgaria, Romania and Slovak Republic.).
