Autumn ITAPA 2025: The Future of Health, Cybersecurity, and Digitalization
Three days packed with discussions and presentations. Expect more than 60 panel sessions and 150 speakers.
For over twenty years, Autumn ITAPA has been one of the most prestigious professional conferences on innovation, digitalization, and public administration in Slovakia. This year's edition, taking place from November 25 to 27, 2025, will feature three thematically distinct days – Health Day, Cyber Day, and Digi Day – accompanied by masterclasses, meet-ups, and open talks for both professionals and the public sector. ITAPA continues to serve as a platform where technology, policy, and the human aspect of digital transformation meet.
Health Day: Mental Health, Hospitals of the Future, and Medical Innovation
The first day, Healthcare Day, will open with the topic of children's and youth mental health. Kamil Šaško, the Minister of Health of the Slovak Republic, will outline systemic measures to support young people's mental well-being. This will be followed by Christian Kumar, a UK-based healthtech strategist and investor, who will deliver a keynote on international healthcare innovations. The session will continue with a panel on telemedicine, featuring practical insights from Vanda Tuxhorn (Germany).
The Hospitals of the Future panel will focus on robotics, artificial intelligence, and data in diagnostics, featuring speakers Jakub Dandár (Carebot), Marek Bundzel (Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Informatics Technical University of Košice), and Peter Blaškovitš (St. Anne's University Hospital). A broader European perspective will come from a discussion on healthcare digital transformation, featuring Samuel Arbe (HealthHub Slovakia) and Dimitrios G. Katehakis (Center for eHealth Applications and Services, Greece).
Later in the day, attention will shift to innovation ecosystems and startup growth. The discussion on connecting hospitals, universities, and tech companies will include Zsolt Bubori (EIT Health) and Christian Kumar. The program will also include masterclasses on startup financing and hands-on meet-ups on digitalizing medical practices.
The first day will conclude with the Open Talk: Healthcare Reform – Where Do Billions Go and What Do We Get for Them? moderated by Šimon Jeseňák, featuring Radoslav Čuha (Penta Hospitals), Michal Palkovič (Health Care Surveillance Authority), and Michal Štofko (Ministry of Health SR). The debate will provide an analytical look at how to allocate public resources more efficiently and transparently to achieve real improvements for patients.
Cyber Day: New Threats, Defense, and Education
The second day, Cybersecurity Day, will open with Jindřich Kalíšek (Commission for Cybersecurity), who will reflect on the balance between regulation and practical reality in the cyber domain. A session on the new cybersecurity decree will feature Ivan Makatura and Štefan Pilár, who will explore its impact on public and private entities.
A key block on technological trends in cybersecurity will present practical uses of artificial intelligence in threat detection, with speakers Igor Urban (Forcepoint), Zsolt Géczi (Palo Alto Networks), and Július Selecký (ESET). Aleš Špidla (CEVRO University) and Michal Hanus will discuss new approaches to qualitative risk assessment that are reshaping the field.
In the afternoon, Slovak-developed solutions such as Afrodita and Achilles – tools used by the Ministry of Investments, Regional Development and Informatization – will be presented. Lukáš Hlavička (IstroSec) will discuss incident response strategies, and Radoslav Repa will open a debate on cyber diplomacy and European cooperation. The day's partners - REGFOR, ACCURA, and ISTROSEC - will provide insights from practice.
The day will conclude with the Open Talk: Strategic Technologies in Defense, exploring how AI, autonomous systems, and quantum computing are transforming modern military and defense strategies. Moderated by Michal Havran, the discussion will feature Pavol Macko, Tomáš Vobruba, Monika Masariková, and Martin Sklenár, examining ethical boundaries and the crossover of emerging technologies into civilian life amid growing hybrid threats.
