What Have We Learned from Introducing AI into Legal Work? (15 min)
In legal work, mistakes can be costly: an incorrect citation, an outdated version of a law or an overlooked detail in a case file. This makes law an excellent test of how well AI performs in knowledge work. Ivan Kormaník, lawyer and co-founder of Praktik.ai, will share what the team has learned over two years of introducing AI to lawyers, in-house legal teams, judges and local authorities. Why is a general-purpose chatbot not enough for professional work? Why can AI not function reliably without verified sources such as Slov-Lex and case law? How is trust built when every output is reviewed by a human? The session will also show where AI genuinely saves time today and where it does not, and how so-called skills can standardise workflows across an organisation so that the same task is handled consistently. These lessons apply to any work involving regulations, documents and decision-making, including public administration. The session will also explore how AI can be used when working with the new Civil Code.
