Michal Chovanec
Clinical oncologist and researcher at the 2nd Department of Oncology, Faculty of Medicine, Comenius University, and the National Cancer Institute in Bratislava.
His long-term work focuses on the treatment and research of testicular germ cell tumours, treatment optimisation and follow-up care for patients after therapy. He combines clinical practice with translational research, biomarkers and real-world data.
He received the Science and Technology Award for his contribution to optimising the treatment of testicular cancer.

Allan Böhm
Cardiologist, researcher and entrepreneur. Founder of the Premedix precision medicine clinic and the Seerlinq start-up.
While researching heart failure, he looked for a way to detect a patient’s deterioration before their next check-up. The result is Seerlinq – an AI solution for remote patient monitoring using a simple finger-worn device that helps identify risk early.
After studying medicine in Prague and conducting clinical research in Oxford, he returned to Slovakia. Today, he demonstrates that healthcare technology with global potential can also be developed in Bratislava.
