Healthcare generates mountains of data every day, yet much of it is unstructured and hard to process. This is exactly where artificial intelligence comes into play, which Codebridge College teaches people to use practically and safely. Their intensive Data Schools and the specialized Health Data School help turn data into better decisions.
Intensive bootcamps: from statistics to your own models
Data Schools are five-day, highly intensive trainings focused on hands-on work with data. The foundation is data analysis and processing, with a strong emphasis on statistics. Without it, no serious science or quality data work can happen, so instructors also build an intuitive understanding of key concepts. Participants also adopt practices that lead to the safe and responsible use of AI tools.
During the workshops, participants train several AI models and take them away ready to use in their own projects. An important component is individual „one‑on‑one“ mentoring, through which instructors address each participant’s specific problems. The support doesn’t end on the last day: it continues with community workshops, consultations, and networking. The goal is to ensure the new skills don’t stay in a notebook but are translated into practice.
Health Data School and the longer AI for Healthcare journey
The specialized Health Data School focuses on healthcare data. After the shared foundation comes epidemiology, biostatistics, and training models for survival analysis (survival analysis), supplemented with other useful AI approaches. The program is being developed in collaboration with Lekárskou fakultou Univerzity Komenského and with Ministerstvom zdravotníctva. The aim is for participants to understand the methods and be able to apply them to their own databases.
The good news is that no prior programming is required; basic Excel is enough, and pivot tables are a plus. The course is suitable for doctors, nurses, analysts, researchers, managers, and employees of insurers and state institutions. According to the organizers, more than 450 people have already completed the trainings and ratings hover around 9,5 out of 10, with graduates reporting better analyses, higher‑quality decisions, and process changes. For those who want to dive deeper, there is a five‑month AI for Healthcare program focused on working with data, the basics of coding, building applications, websites, dashboards, and solutions for specific workplace challenges.
