Renáta Hall
She has 30 years of experience in higher education and university research policy. She began her public engagement as a student leader and has since focused her academic and professional career on higher education policy. She earned her PhD at Central European University (CEU) in Vienna, where she specialized in higher education policy research. At the Slovak Accreditation Agency for Higher Education, she led the largest student satisfaction survey ever conducted in Slovakia. She has served as an advisor to two Slovak Prime Ministers (Iveta Radičová and Eduard Heger), State Secretary of the Ministry of Education, Research, Development and Youth of the Slovak Republic Michal Fedák, and several political parties. She managed the “To dá rozum” project, which developed a comprehensive proposal for education reform spanning preschool, primary, secondary, and higher education. Currently, she collaborates with the Ministry of Education, Research, Development and Youth of the Slovak Republic on the preparation of a student support reform. She is also involved in drafting materials for a new Higher Education Act in the Czech Republic concerning academic careers in higher education institutions. In addition, she manages the “Universities for Healthy Cities” project (co-financed by the European Union, project No. 2024-1-SK01-KA220-HED-000245319) and is preparing the second edition of the “How to Retain Talent 2026” survey, which examines the motivations of recent secondary school graduates when choosing a field of study, a university, and a country for higher education.
