  • Learning by playing in the 21st Century: Supporting IT like thinking and digital education among the youngest   |   Medzinárodný kongres ITAPA 2018: Hacking the Future

What, in fact, are the skills that should be strengthened in children, pupils or students in order to achieve their most effective and smoother involvement in the emerging digital society? Companies that require soft skills, such as communication skills, co-operation, conflict resolution, and so on. and hard skills, which, in fact, already include a certain aspect of digital skills in all disciplines. There is no need for everyone to become a programmer, but it is necessary that anyone who wants to engage effectively in society on both a personal and a working level has to a certain extent "computational thinking", ie IT like thinking. During the presentation, some of these solutions will be discussed, focusing mainly on solutions that work successfully elsewhere in Europe and could also be applied in Czech schools. The lecture will draw on the content of a study prepared for the Vysočina Region.
