Rehabilitation does not begin only after discharge, but often right at the bedside. The lecture presented a range of therapeutic‑rehabilitation devices from passive CPM units through active‑passive trainers to a verticalizer, complemented by training and service. The aim is to make the staff’s work easier and give patients a chance to exercise at home as well.

For whom and what services

The company specializes in therapeutic‑rehabilitation devices, which it distributes, sells, and rents not only to hospitals but also to individual clients for home care. The services include professional staff training and safety‑technical inspections to ensure the devices operate safely and effectively. They provide support to hospitals, physiotherapists, and residential care homes, where rehabilitation is often sidelined. The goal is to strengthen continuity of care and enable patients to continue exercising at home.

Passive devices: CPM units and settings

In the segment of passive devices, the company offers Artromot CPM units for the knee and hip, which provide passive joint motion after surgeries or injuries. You can set the range of flexion and extension, the speed, and the length of breaks according to the patient’s tolerance. Different versions vary by type of controller; some have a smart card to store parameters, which saves time for patients and staff. A practical accessory is a transport trolley, so the device does not have to be carried by hand.

The S4 Comfort shoulder CPM with three motors allows precise setting of anteversion and retroversion, rotation, abduction and adduction, or selecting a PNF wave or isolated movements. The controls are intuitive, with graphic symbols, so patients can manage them as well. The portfolio is complemented by the SP3 Comfort ankle CPM usable in lying and sitting positions and the E2 Comfort elbow CPM with a simple chair. For all devices, parameters are adjusted to individual needs.

Active‑passive training and verticalization

Active‑passive trainers are intended for early rehabilitation, including bedbound patients in the ICU, intermediate care, or during dialysis. Both lower and upper limbs can be exercised; the devices have simple controls and, on casters, are easily rolled up to the bed; the height can be adjusted electrically. Interchangeable grips and neoprene fixations for a weak grasp are available, as well as a tablet with simple games. An important safety function is a spasm sensor that automatically stops training in the event of spasticity and continues after release; reverse operation without the need for reconfiguration is also included.

The Teratrainer BMO model allows quick setup without reconfiguration; just adjust the tilt and the patient can also exercise with the arms. A new addition is the Teratrainer Toro, an active‑passive device for upper and lower limbs, usable also for people in wheelchairs and suitable for active as well as passive patients. Available are instep straps and calf supports, forearm supports, and approximately 50 scenic routes or simple games that increase motivation. For transfer to standing, a verticalizer with an electric hoist is used, capable of lifting even a 120‑kilogram patient, so the task can be performed safely by a single female staff member instead of several.
