Artificial intelligence promises to bring order to the chaos of data and alerts in cybersecurity. The talk outlined where AI works in security, where it runs into limits, and why we are moving from “copilots” to more ambitious “autopilots.” It also shared practical experiences with open solutions and the XDR approach. Its development went from theoretical concepts and the perceptron through experiments with neurons, expert systems, and learning with backpropagation to deep learning, after which a “darker” phase of stagnation also arrived.
