Even enthusiasts of technical disciplines need to be able to switch off; analytical work by itself does not offer rest. A path back to creativity can be a return to the playfulness we had as children—and, surprisingly, artificial intelligence can help. As it makes creation easier, it also opens new possibilities for sharing works and connecting with an audience.
AI as a paintbrush for untrained hands
Many adults avoid creating because they "can’t draw" and feel that without perfection it’s pointless. Contemporary artificial intelligence tools lower this barrier: from verbal prompts they can create an image, music, or video and help visualize an idea quickly. When we create for relaxation, the goal is not a product to sell, but the process itself, which disconnects the mind from work pressure. If, however, creation becomes merchandise, the pressure to perform increases and exhaustion looms; this is also why it makes sense for employers to cultivate healthy rest in their people, otherwise they risk burnout and an expensive replacement of talent, which, according to the speaker’s estimate, reached full contribution roughly after half a year.
Sharing, language, and trust in a global world
Digital and virtual galleries give creators an audience literally anywhere, if they can speak its language. In a project aimed toward the Expo in Osaka, it turned out that in Japan, with approximately 140 million inhabitants and thousands of kilometers between north and south, many people do not speak English. AI today helps translate presentations, generate subtitles in real time, and, via QR codes, offer explanations in the language a visitor chooses. Even so, it remains important to check and verify translations with native speakers or institutions so that the message truly makes sense.
In the era of synthetic images, personal presence determines trust: attaching a face and a voice to a name helps distinguish a person from an avatar. The younger generation lives under an onslaught of information and filters it superficially, therefore an authentic introduction of the author strengthens the author’s credibility. The craft-intensive work can be left to artificial intelligence—for example, creating scenes that would be expensive or technically difficult for a photographer to realize—and focus on the story. The speaker mentions that, with the help of AI, they create animated fairy tales for their four-year-old daughter; similar playfulness is valuable for us adults as well, and it is good to teach it to children, too.
