What does a modern and secure network look like for a state authority that oversees health care and health insurance? In 2022, Slovanet was awarded a contract by the Office for Supervision of Health Care and designed, deployed, and operates comprehensive communication services. We present an overview of the architecture and security layers from practice. The Office for Supervision of Health Care is a public authority with a network comprising a headquarters, branches, and forensic medicine and pathological anatomy facilities throughout Slovakia. It needs to reliably connect dozens of sites while protecting sensitive data as well as access to public portals. In 2022, Slovanet was the successful bidder in a public procurement and concluded a contract with the office. The brief covered the architecture design, delivery and implementation of equipment, building the interconnections, unifying services into a single whole, and subsequent operations with an SLA and regular reporting.Who is ÚDZS and the project brief
