Slavomír Partila
He graduated in 1996 from the Faculty of Natural Sciences at Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice with a degree in mathematics and physics education. After completing his basic military service, his first teaching position was at the St. John the Baptist Church High School in Trebišov in 1997. Since then, this town has been his home. In 2004, he was awarded the title of RNDr. after defending his rigorous thesis focused on astrophysics and plasma physics. From 2007, he served as deputy director of the St. Josaphat Secondary Vocational School of Services and Industry in Trebišov, and from 2012 until his appointment as State Secretary, he served as its director. The school has undergone - and continues to undergo - significant changes aimed at building a modern educational infrastructure and obtaining the status of a Center for Vocational Education and Training, making it one of the few schools in the region to do so. He was actively involved in committees of the Ministry of Education and served as vice president of the Association of Catholic Schools of Slovakia. As State Secretary of the Ministry of Education, Science, Research, and Sport of the Slovak Republic, he was responsible for the areas of inclusion, ethnic minority education, and lifelong learning. He also focused on implementing measures arising from the Recovery and Resilience Plan of the Slovak Republic under the auspices of the Ministry of Education. He currently serves as the Minister’s Plenipotentiary for Regional Education.
