Karolina Mackiewicz (MA Political Sciences, MA Futures Studies) works as the Events Lead and Project Manager for MyData 2019 Conference at MyData Global - an international non-profit, which advocates for equal data sharing, based in Helsinki. Her professional mission is to bring people together to network and collaborate for creating actionable solutions for MyData materialization and implementation. In other words, she wants to make the world a better place by contributing to building the more just and sustainable society.

Before joining MyData Global, Karolina worked for 10 years at the WHO Collaborating Centre for Healthy Cities and Urban Health in the Baltic Region, facilitating the cross-sectoral cooperation for health and wellbeing between the actors from different levels of governments. The barriers for innovations in the organizations from the public sector are in the centre of her academic and professional interests.
