Jaroslav Majerník
He currently works as an associate professor and head of the Department of Medical Informatics and Simulation Medicine at the Faculty of Medicine of Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice. He is also the chair of the Academic Senate of the Faculty of Medicine of Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice. He has been actively involved in implementing and utilizing modern digital tools in the education of medical and healthcare students for many years. A significant milestone in this effort is the work on expanding and promoting the Center for Simulator and Virtual Medicine, which the faculty ceremoniously launched in the 2021/2022 academic year. His professional and research activities also focus on biomedical engineering, medical informatics, and electronic support for education. He is the author and co-author of 15 book publications and more than 270 professional and scientific papers, which have been cited more than 320 times. He has participated in nearly 50 research projects, including 16 international grants and EU grants in the fields of education, biomechanics, medical simulations, and informatics.
