  • Vision and goals of a modern authority

The Authority for Spatial Planning and Construction of the Slovak Republic was established on June 1, 2022, with the aim of systematically unifying and streamlining spatial planning and construction in Slovakia. This vision is supported by the new Spatial planning Act (No. 200/2022 Coll.), effective from April 1, 2024, and the new Construction Act (No. 25/2025 Coll.), which came into force on April 1, 2025. The new legislation includes a focus on digitalization, including the launch of the Information System for Spatial Planning and Construction. As part of this system, the Spatial Planning Portal was launched in 2024 as a pilot project, with the long-term goal of centralizing spatial planning processes within a single digital environment. With the same objective, we also launched on April 1, 2025 the first phase of the Construction Portal, intended for the electronic submission and management of construction documents. This portal will gradually be expanded with new functionalities, services, and forms. The aim of these steps is to integrate spatial planning and construction into one clear and efficient electronic system that ensures easier access, better coordination, and greater transparency throughout the entire process.
