Adriana Kolesárová
Director of the AgroBioTech Research Centre at the Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra and a Professor at the Faculty of Biotechnology and Food Sciences. She also serves as Chair of the VEGA Scientific Grant Committee and is a member of the Government Council of the Slovak Republic for Science, Technology and Innovation, where she actively contributes to the development and implementation of national research and innovation policies. She is a member of the Governing Board of the European research infrastructure FNH-RI (Food, Nutrition and Health Research Infrastructure) coordinated by Wageningen University & Research and also serves as the national contact point for the AgroBioFood Nitra platform. Since 2018, she has also been a member of the ESFRI Coordination Committee for Research Infrastructures in the areas of health, food and environment, to which she was nominated by the Ministry of Education of the Slovak Republic. Her professional expertise focuses on food science, biotechnology, innovation, and the systematic linkage of research with practice at both national and European levels. From 2019 to 2028, she coordinates EIT Food activities in Slovakia within the EIT Food Hub, overseeing the implementation of educational, innovation and entrepreneurship activities, including EIT Food RIS Consumer Engagement Labs and other national initiatives. Prof. Kolesárová has extensive experience in managing national and international projects (EIT, Erasmus+, Interreg, APVV, VEGA), having participated as a principal investigator or co-investigator in more than 30 projects focused on research, education, technology transfer and innovation.Prof. Kolesárová is actively involved in building international scientific and innovation networks, organising conferences, workshops and summer schools, and systematically supporting the development of innovation and entrepreneurial skills among students and early-career researchers.
