ITAPA AI 2025: One Day Exploring the Future of AI

On 9 December 2025, Bratislava Castle will host ITAPA AI 2025 – a full-day event dedicated to the most important trends, impact, and opportunities of artificial intelligence.

The program will offer keynotes, discussions, and practical masterclasses, showcasing how AI is transforming government, education, healthcare, industry, and the creative sector.

Technology, Research, and the National AI Strategy

The opening sessions will bring both technological and academic perspectives. Red Hat will present how the new generation of AI systems is being built, while Ivan Kotuliak (Slovak University of Technology) will highlight current trends in AI research and applications.

Afterward, Juraj Miškov will outline the development of the National Innovation and Technology Center, and Radoslav Štefánek, the Government Plenipotentiary for AI, will present the key elements of the upcoming AI Strategy for Slovakia.

AI in Public Administration, Taxation, and Biotechnologies

The morning program will focus on practical AI applications across government. Patrik Krauspe (Ministry of Interior Slovak Republic) will explain how AI solutions operate within the government cloud, and Slávka Šikurová (Predu) will showcase an application that automates the processing of citizenship requests.

A major highlight will be the session on AI in Tax Administration, featuring Jiří Žežulka (General Financial Directorate of the Czech Republic), Pavol Škápik (General Financial Directorate of the Czech Republic), and Michal Gürtner (IBM), who will demonstrate how AI supports automation, predictive analysis, and modern taxpayer services.

The scientific dimension will be enriched by Ján Sliacky (Slovak University of Technology) with a masterclass on how AI helps model molecules and advance personalized medicine.

Before lunch, Vladimír Šucha (European University Institute) will deliver a keynote on the social and cultural changes driven by AI.

Creativity, Education, and New Competencies

The afternoon sessions will open with Peter Šebo (PS:Digital) discussing AI in marketing and creativity, followed by Petr Herian (NEWTON Technologies) with an overview of trends in voice technologies.

The session AI in Education, featuring Eva Nečasová (AI dětem/AI for Children) and representatives of the Ministry of Education, will present how AI can support teachers, students, and inclusive learning. Marek Galinski (Slovak University of Technology) will then examine the impact of tools like ChatGPT on university studies.

Róbert Zsembera will introduce the concept of AI Competence Centers, designed to connect universities, businesses, and public institutions through sustainable digital skills development.

AI in Medicine, Industry, and Management

A medical perspective will be offered by Ondřej Volný (University Hospital Ostrava), who will explain how AI is used in clinical practice and how it relates to upcoming regulations.

The panel Industry 4.5 will feature Roman Lisičan (TECHNODAT Group) and Vladimír Slezák (Siemens), exploring how AI transforms manufacturing, corporate decision-making, and organizational culture.

In parallel, the Ethical Dilemmas for Managers masterclass, led by the Association for AI, will guide participants through real-life decision-making scenarios involving AI adoption.

ITAPA Open Talk: Slovakia in the World of AI

The conference will conclude with an open discussion on Slovakia’s position in the global AI landscape.

The Fireside Chat will bring together Mária Bieliková (Kempelen Institute of Intelligent Technologies), Martin Hrachala (Ministry of Interior SR), Martin Venhart (Slovak Academy of Sciences), Michal Puškár (Research and Innovation Authority), and representatives of Red Hat.

The session will highlight opportunities and the risks of AI adoption and offer a realistic view of what Slovakia needs to succeed: talent, infrastructure, high-quality data, and strong collaboration between government, academia, and industry.


ITAPA AI 2025 demonstrates that artificial intelligence is no longer the future – it is the present, fundamentally reshaping government, science, industry, and everyday life.
