The presentation will discuss how cloud is critical building a secure technology infrastructure for for the government of tomorrow. In order to win the trust of citizens governments need to be transparent how they protect the data in the cloud, adhere to standards and maintain the privacy of citizen data. Cloud providers are partners in this and the presentation will talk about the Microsoft investments into end to end security for cloud architectures, how to guarantee privacy for customer and government data in the cloud and the critical role of transparency.

Ruediger Dorn
Rüdiger Dorn is part of the Microsoft CTO office and leads the Public Sector cloud strategy for Microsoft in Europe, Middle East and Africa. In this role, he is responsible to drive the cloud business with customers in government, healthcare, national security and education. Critical aspects of his work include the conversation with policy makers on how to establish a policy environment in which customers can securely move to the cloud and to articulate Microsoft’s role as a strategic partner to Public Sector customers. In his role Rüdiger also oversees the recruitment of a partner ecosystem around Microsoft’s cloud products and the feedback of customer requirements back to the the engineering teams.
