In Slovakia, a platform is emerging that guides people who have overcome cancer and their families through the care system. The team wants to secure an investor in the coming months and expand collaborations at home and across Europe. The first larger paying partner is Union zdravotná poisťovňa, and the project is building a network of specialized services. After leaving the hospital, many patients feel lost: they don’t know what benefits they are entitled to, whom to call, or where to find psychological or practical support. The new platform therefore offers “first aid” in the form of navigation and recommendations to help people get their bearings. The key is a call center that can direct policyholders to services from their health insurance company, to specific doctors, or to other verified sources of help. The team also thinks about families and focuses on prevention, sharing its experiences and recommendations on social networks.Why the platform was created
