In the latest Global Cybersecurity Index (GCI) of the International Telecommunication Union for 2024, Slovakia finished in the second-highest tier. It was separated from the very top by only 0,56 points out of 100. A total of 194 states were assessed, and not all provided their own data; in such cases the ITU uses publicly available sources, which can affect the results (the USA is one example).
