EIT Health, the healthcare division of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology, presented its approach to challenges in healthcare: from education and startup support to working with data and telemedicine. The aim is to practically connect partners across Europe and seek sustainable solutions. For Slovakia, this means new opportunities for collaboration and access to markets. EIT Health brings together over a hundred partners from hospitals, universities, multinational companies, and small and medium-sized enterprises, and it also operates outside EU member states. Thanks to this linkage, it can more quickly connect practical needs with research and the market. Priorities include education (for physicians, patients, and decision-makers), building cross-border consortia, supporting startups, dialogue with policymakers, and opportunities for individuals in member organizations.
