Prevention. not only in healthcare
A short "theatrical" demo showed that data security is not the privilege of large hospitals, but an everyday responsibility even in small clinics. On two identical computers, a comparison was made of what ransomware does on an unpatched system with default protection and what it does on a workstation with modern EDR. The conclusion is clear: prevention, updates, and backups save both nerves and money. The talk candidly pointed out that we often lack prevention—care for our "digital assets." This includes regularly updating computers and phones and at least basic ongoing user education. Large hospitals have teams for this, but smaller clinics can handle the basics too. It’s similar to workplace safety training or driving: your "PC driver’s license" needs to be reinforced continuously. A formal check isn’t enough; practice and vigilance with suspicious documents are important too. Just one faulty "report" or attachment can be the beginning of an incident.Prevention isn’t a luxury, but a routine
