The digitization of corporate documents has advanced significantly in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. The electronic signature is a cornerstone, but on its own it will not eliminate paperwork. The key is an end‑to‑end process from document creation through approval to archiving and working with data. The speaker emphasized that companies need a unified workflow: creation, internal approval, circulation, signing, and long‑term archiving. Simply “having a certificate” is not enough, because a document is created, circulates, and ends up in a drawer or e‑mail. Digitization therefore means a shift from manual steps to automated and transparent rules. The result is speed, fewer errors, and the ability to handle matters remotely. According to the speaker, their service has served over a thousand clients in the region since 2019. However, only roughly 10–15 % of companies operate fully paperless, and about 5 % have digitized HR documents. In the Czech Republic, an amendment to the Labour Code also contributed to this by allowing employment matters to be digitized for the first time.
