History, the present, and the future are not separate worlds, but interconnected lines of a single story. The opening words at the event in the Museum of the Slovak National Uprising reminded us that the way we pass on information and use technology affects how we remember and what we will create. Linking a place of memory with the ITAPA conference offers an opportunity to think about this connection with greater responsibility. We often say that "history is the teacher of life" and that a nation that forgets will repeat its mistakes. Behind these phrases lies a simple idea: the past shapes the present and opens possibilities for the future. This applies equally to technology and the flow of information — what and how we pass on to one another changes the decisions we make today. When we see this chain, it becomes easier to understand our own responsibility.History, the Present, and the Future in One Story
