Benefits and Risks of Hospital Digitization - Focused on Cyber security
This presentation focuses on the benefits, but also the risks associated with the digitalization of healthcare with a focus on hospitals. Part of the presentation will be concrete knowledge from the practice of introducing modern security tools to hospitals in the Czech Republic, Europe and the USA. Participants will have the opportunity to become familiar with the most common errors and shortcomings in security not only from an IT perspective, but will also learn about critical vulnerabilities of medical devices and other smart medical techniques. At the end, several options and ways to effectively solve these problems will be presented.

Jan Váša has been working in informatics since the beginning of the nineties. During his professional career, he went through a series of IT roles from the development of SW applications and information systems to the construction and management of networks for cyber security. He put his knowledge, interest and enthusiasm for this area to good use at Atos IT Solutions and Services s.r.o., where he has been working in the BDS team since 2019.
