Pavol Veselý
He has more than 20 years of experience in information technology and cybersecurity. He gained professional experience at international technology companies including HP, HPE and DXC Technology, where he worked in IT outsourcing, technology project management and security solutions. He currently works at Invidia Solutions, a company specialising in cybersecurity, operating a Security Operations Centre (SOC), detecting cyber threats and responding to security incidents. His work also includes the use of open-source intelligence (OSINT), Threat Intelligence and the analysis of digital traces in cybercrime investigations. He is also behind the non-profit organisation CyberWatch, which focuses on protecting children and vulnerable groups from cyberbullying, online predators and digital threats. He contributes to the development of technologies using Threat Intelligence and artificial intelligence to identify and prevent cyber risks. His work combines practical experience from security operations and incident investigations with modern technologies and a strong focus on protecting people in the digital environment.

Using a real case, we will show how the investigation unfolds, which digital traces help reveal connections, and how OSINT can be used to verify identities and reconstruct the sequence of events. We will then demonstrate how Threat Intelligence can help detect the misuse of a company’s brand, lookalike domains, fake profiles and leaked credentials at an early stage. From the first steps after discovering the fraud to measures that can help prevent it from happening again.
