He first encountered palliative medicine in 2017 during a professional internship at Hospicjum św. Łazarza in Kraków. In 2018, he began operating a mobile hospice in the Zemplín region, where he gained his first practical experience in palliative care. In 2019, he started his pre-specialization training in palliative medicine, which he successfully completed at the Slovak Medical University in Bratislava in December 2022. Since 2023, he has been the founder and professional guarantor of the integrated social and healthcare facility Liečebňa sv. Filomény in Vranov nad Topľou, which includes an inpatient hospice, a nursing care home, and a mobile hospice. He actively contributes to the professional development of palliative medicine in Slovakia. In 2024, he served as the President of the Slovak Society of Palliative Medicine (SSPM) and currently holds the position of Chair of the Supervisory Board of SSPM. Since autumn 2025, he has been involved in establishing the civic association Hospicea, which, in cooperation with the Czech institute Dialogus, develops education and leadership programs for hospice professionals in Slovakia.
