Doc. MUDr. Ondřej Volný, Ph.D., FESO, is the deputy head of science and research at the Neurology Clinic of the Ostrava University Hospital and vice-dean for science and research at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Ostrava. He is the only Czech graduate of the prestigious clinical and research scholarship program in the field of cerebrovascular accidents and neurocritical care at the University of Calgary, Calgary Stroke Program. In addition to diagnosing and treating cerebrovascular accidents, his research also focuses on the application of artificial intelligence in CT and MRI, telemedicine, and modern procedures in neurorehabilitation, including robotic rehabilitation and virtual reality. Since 2024, he has been the chairman of the newly established Czech Society for Artificial Intelligence Technology and Digital Innovative Technologies in Medicine, ČLS JEP.
