
Michal Géci
Michal Géci studied international relations at the University of Bologna and received an MBA from Bocconi University in Milan, Italy, where he also worked as a researcher for several years. He has held senior positions in the field of digital transformations for more than 20 years. He was a senior manager of the global consulting group Capgemini, where he participated in the implementation of complex IT and strategic transformation projects in sectors such as energy, telecommunications, financial services, the public sector and others in the CEE region (Central and Eastern Europe). He then led strategic initiatives to transform leading multinational companies such as Alcatel-Lucent and Philips in the field of services in the CEE region, working as an expert in technology transfer and innovation management in Europe and Asia. In recent years, he has been supporting start-ups in the field of social innovations and blockchain technologies in Slovakia, he is a co-founder of the Slovak Impact Hub and for several years he led the innovation division for the Slovak-Swiss company Decent.
He also worked briefly as an advisor to the Minister of Finance, President of the Slovak Financial Administration and is currently a member of the EUBOF (The European Union Blockchain Observatory and Forum), a think tank set up by the European Commission for Distributed Recording Technologies (DLT) and a blockchain.
He currently holds the position of Director of the Department of Effective Public Administration and Digitization at the Office of the Government of the Slovak Republic.

The short presentation will present the individual applications of these technologies aimed at solving the post-covid-19 crisis, which have been deployed around the world and which could be an interesting inspiration for Slovakia as well.
