Michaela Abel
Michaela Abel is the co-founder of Decent Cybersecurity, advancing post-quantum cryptography (PQC) and quantum-secure technologies for critical infrastructure and defense. She is an active participant in the NATO Advisory and Industrial Group (NIAG), contributing to SG-308 Aeronautical Navigation: Future Technologies and SG-315 Multi-role Uncrewed Surface Vessel (USV) for ASuW/AAW Force Protection. On behalf of Decent Cybersecurity, Michaela leads the company’s contribution to the AIDA consortium, a major European Defence Fund project developing advanced detection and response to cyberattacks. She also directs initiatives such as PQ-REACT, focused on resilient PQC migration paths, PQC-6G, implementing NIST PQC standards in next-generation networks, and FPGA-PQC Fortress, a hardware platform securing mission-critical systems against quantum threats. Her work bridges NATO, EU, and industry efforts to ensure secure communications and infrastructures in the quantum era, while also exploring the emerging opportunities of quantum computing and its future applications.
