Martin Pilka
Expert in Sovereign and Private AI Cloud. He graduated from FEI STU, department of Security of Information Technology, his diploma thesis was awarded the dean's special prize. While still at school he founded a company with his classmate which has been supplying software solutions to several international corporations for the past 20 years, today mainly in the field of private cloud. He is an active supporter of Open Source solutions, one of the founding members of the international consortia ALASCA (Association for Operational, Open Cloud Infrastructures) and SCS (Sovereign Cloud Stack). His professional interests are mainly in the field of private cloud with true "no vendor lock-in" feature.

AI has become an integral part of our lives, so certainly it is the right time to think about what is actually happening with all the data we are providing to it. USA events in recent months show that entrusting our often sensitive data to companies outside of EU is risky. In the presentation, we explain how American companies providing AI services deal with data, what risks it poses and what European alternatives exist today.
