Marta Kahancová

Central European Labour Studies Institute (CELSI), Co-Founder and Managing Director
Co-founder and Director of CELSI, an independent research institute focused on labour markets and working conditions in Central and Eastern Europe. She also serves as an Associate Professor at the Institute of Public Policy, Faculty of Social and Economic Sciences, Comenius University in Bratislava. Her research focuses on working conditions and their regulation, social dialogue, collective bargaining, and the dynamics of non-standard forms of work. She has long been engaged in research on the long-term care sector, examining the links between working conditions, service availability, and the sustainability of public policies. Her work contributes to a deeper understanding of how institutional frameworks and policy decisions shape working conditions and the provision of long-term care in Europe. She works as an expert for the European Commission and the European Labour Authority (ELA) in the areas of employment policy, labour market regulation, and the enforcement of labour standards. She is actively involved in international research projects and expert debates on the future of work, social protection, and the just transformation of labour markets in Europe. She is the author and co-author of numerous academic publications and regularly speaks at international conferences as an expert in labour relations and labour market public policy.
