Maroš Halama
Associate Professor, researcher, and certified trainer of the European Battery Academy. Head of the Corrosion Testing Laboratory and VIB Lab (Lab for Research and Innovations of Batteries) at the Technical University of Košice, Institute of Materials. Broker at Promatech Centre. He serves as an advisor for clean technologies and e-mobility at the Office of the Government of the Slovak Republic and at the Slovak Research and Innovation Authority. He is also an advisor to InoBat in the research, development, and testing of advanced materials used not only in lithium-ion batteries but also in other energy systems. He works in the fields of nanotechnology applications, artificial neural networks for lifetime prediction of materials, and safety-related issues. He serves as Co-Chair of the Task Force Safety within the Batteries Europe Partnership (BEPA), contributing to the development of the Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda (SRIA) across EU Member States in the area of battery system safety and risk management. He led the hydrogen strategy in the Košice Self-Governing Region and initiatives related to the Hydrogen Valley project in cooperation with industrial partners. His main research focuses on material corrosion, including nanoparticles, across sectors such as energy, mobility, construction, and healthcare, as well as failure analysis in various industrial fields, safety engineering, and predictive techniques.
