Lukáš Šoltés
He graduated from the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava, where he obtained his PhD and later also the scientific and pedagogical title of associate professor in the field of applied informatics. He worked as an Experienced Researcher within the prestigious Marie Skłodowska-Curie grant at the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen and the University of Padua in Padua. In addition to his academic career, he also served in the armed security corps, where he held positions including head of project preparation and project management, and deputy director of the public procurement and project management department. He has several internationally recognized certificates in project management and people management. Since 2019, he has served as the vice-dean of the Faculty of Informatics and Information Technologies at the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava (FIIT STU), where he also acts as the guarantor of security studies in continuing education. He is the Vice-Chairman of the Council of Higher Education Institutions of the Slovak Republic and a member of the advisory committee of the North Atlantic Defense Innovation Accelerator (DIANA) Board of Directors. His scientific and research activities focus primarily on security and autonomous vehicles. In 2023, he received the STU Rector's Award for outstanding achievements in education. He is the principal investigator and co-investigator of several domestic and international projects, as well as the author and co-author of utility models and numerous scientific publications and papers presented at domestic and international conferences.
