Ms. Shechter has been the CIO of Tel Aviv and smart city Director of Tel Aviv Municipality for the past 9 years. She has also been the chairman of the Israeli Municipalities CIO Forum for the past 5 years. She developed Tel Aviv - Yafo smart city vision that focuses on improving the quality of the residents' life, via a unique resident club that focuses on giving personal and proactive service.

The two other pillars of the City vision are:

• real-time management of the city based on residents & city supervisors reports and IoT.

• Developing a framework to collaborate between the city and its flourishing startup ecosystem.
