E-Invoicing Beyond Compliance: Lessons from the Nordics Description (10 min)
The session will explore what Slovakia and other emerging elnvoicing markets can learn from the long practical experience of the Nordic countries. In the Nordics, envoicing adoption was driven largely by the business benefits of automating accounts payable, reducing manual work and improving efficiency, rather than by government mandates. Today, regulatory requirements and VAT reporting are becoming the main drivers of elnvoicing across Europe. The session will highlight why compliance should not be the end goal. Structured electronic invoices also create an opportunity to automate the entire invoice process - from receiving and validating an invoice to approval, accounting and payment - delivering benefits that extend far beyond regulatory compliance.
