EHDS: How far have we come in Slovakia over the past year? (10 min)
Through the NCZI, Slovakia is making progress in integrating into the European Health Data Space (EHDS). The key objective on the primary health data side is to establish a national contact point (NCP) that will enable the secure cross-border sharing of patient data within the EU, while at the same time creating the technical and organizational conditions through HDAB (Health Data Access Body) for the secure and responsible sharing of secondary data, primarily for use in research, innovation, and policy-making. Slovakia has already successfully tested the exchange of primary data with selected EU countries and is continuously meeting technical and organizational milestones towards full readiness. The presentation will outline which functionalities were tested in the pilot tests, in which countries, and what real progress has been made over the last 12 months. We will show what has been achieved, the challenges we face in implementation, and the further steps ahead on the road to meeting the EHDS milestones.
