He serves as the Head of the Department of Neurosurgery at the Faculty of Medicine, Comenius University, and the University Hospital Bratislava. His clinical and research activities have long focused on the microsurgical treatment of brain tumors, including awake brain surgery, as well as skull base surgery and vascular neurosurgery. In February 2026, the Scientific Board of Comenius University approved the proposal for his appointment as a Professor of Surgery. In his clinical practice, he strives to integrate innovative technologies that push the boundaries of safety in neurosurgical procedures.

At the ITAPA conference, he will share insights from the first AI-assisted brain tumor resection in Central Europe, which he personally performed in collaboration with experts from the University Hospital Río Hortega in Valladolid, Spain. This approach represents a significant step toward personalized medicine, where artificial intelligence serves as a key tool for enhancing surgical precision.
