Andrej Šteňo
He is an associate professor at the Department of Neurosurgery, Faculty of Medicine, Comenius University and University Hospital Bratislava. He has a long-standing interest in the treatment of neurosurgical diseases, e.g., brain tumours, including awake surgery, pituitary tumours, cerebral aneurysms, intervertebral disc surgery, and others. He has published several of his own results in the world's most prestigious neurosurgical journals and has lectured at major international events. As the leader of the scientific research team of the year, he is the recipient of the 2017 Science and Technology Award, the most important national scientific award.
