Holds a Doctorate in Medicine from the University of Nis, Serbia and is Alumna of School of Public Health, Johns Hopkins University. She has over thirty years of professional experience including as a practicing physician (psychiatry), and International Public Servant. As a Senior Health Specialist World Bank, with the Health, Nutrition, and Population Global Practice, she has led and worked on number of operations in Europe and Central Asia, Latin America and Caribbean, and Africa regions, where she initiated and guided implementation of various innovative public health interventions, including in health financing, organization of health service, quality, service delivery, pharmaceutical policies, and mental health. She is currently affiliated with the Europe and Central Asia Global Practice and her area of focus are Romania and Slovakia health portfolios.
