A physician specialized in Infectious Diseases, with extensive experience in the management of infectious and tropical diseases as well as in field epidemiology. She currently serves as Director of the Department for the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases at AGEL SK Group. Her primary professional focus includes rational anti-infective therapy, antimicrobial stewardship, and the management and control of healthcare-associated infections within AGEL healthcare facilities in Slovakia. From 2020 to 2024, she served as Head of the Department of Infectious Diseases and Geographic Medicine at the University Hospital Bratislava, where she had been working since 2015. Since 1999, she has collaborated with the international humanitarian organization Doctors Without Borders (Médecins Sans Frontières). She has worked in multiple countries across Africa and Asia as a physician, project coordinator, and medical coordinator. Later, she served in Geneva and Vienna as Technical Advisor for the management of tropical diseases, Director of the Operational Research and Evaluation Department, and she currently serves as a member of the organization’s Board. She is also actively involved in teaching at the Slovak Medical University, where she serves as the guarantor of the specialization program in Infectious Diseases.
