Masterclasses on e-Invoicing in Practice
Learn how to process e-invoices – practically and without errors.
PRACTICAL MASTERCLASSES
How do you issue, send, receive and process an e-Invoice all the way into accounting? Practical masterclasses at the e-Invoicing in Practice event will demonstrate specific processes and different scenarios faced by self-employed professionals, companies, public-sector organisations and organisations using ERP systems.
From theory to a real-world process
One e-Invoice, two perspectives on the entire process
Electronic invoicing will not work in exactly the same way in every organisation. A self-employed professional using simple invoicing software will issue invoices differently from a large company working with an ERP system, approval workflows and multiple internal applications.
The practical parts of the programme are therefore divided according to what is happening to the invoice at each stage. The first masterclass focuses on issuing and sending it. The second begins when the invoice reaches the recipient and follows the process through to processing and posting.
Issuing and sending
How the process differs for a self-employed professional, a small business, a local authority or a large company.
Receipt and posting
How the invoice reaches the recipient, how it can move into an ERP system, and where automation enters the process.
The process step by step
From issuing to posting
The two masterclasses build on one another. Together, they demonstrate the four key stages an electronic invoice goes through in practice.
Issuing
The invoice is created in an invoicing, accounting or ERP system.
Sending
The invoice data is transferred electronically from the sender to the recipient.
Receipt
The invoice enters the environment and systems of the organisation that received it.
Posting
Validation, processing, automation and accounting follow.
Masterclass 01
How to get an e-Invoice from you to your customer
The introduction of e-Invoicing will have different implications depending on the size of the organisation, the systems it uses and the complexity of its processes. The first masterclass will therefore present several specific scenarios rather than a single universal approach.
MASTERCLASS: e-Invoicing – issuing and sending
From self-employed professionals and small businesses to public administration and large-company environments.
Masterclass introduction: Peter Steinhübl, Slovensko.Digital
Self-employed professional and owner of a small or medium-sized business

The same obligation, different realities
Preparation will look slightly different for every organisation
The differences between individual environments are exactly why the masterclass features several types of organisations and software solutions.
Masterclass 02
What happens to an e-Invoice when it reaches you
The process does not end when an invoice is issued and sent. The second masterclass starts on the recipient’s side and shows what can happen to an electronic invoice after it has been delivered.
MASTERCLASS: e-Invoicing – receipt and posting
Web interfaces, ERP systems and automation processes after 1 January 2027.

From document to data
Where does the process create opportunities for automation?
With electronic invoicing, the focus is not only on the document itself, but also on how the system works with its data. That is why it is important to understand what happens to the invoice after it is received.
In practice, an organisation may need to decide whether to work with the invoice through a standalone web interface, integrate the process directly into its ERP system, and determine which additional steps can be automated using the received data.
Practical outcome
What should you know after the masterclasses?
The practical sessions are designed to help participants understand how the upcoming change will affect the operation of their own organisation.
- how issuing and sending an e-Invoice may work across different types of organisations
- how the situation differs for a self-employed professional, a small business and a large organisation
- how an organisation can work with a received e-Invoice
- the difference between a web interface and direct integration into an ERP system
- where an accounting or enterprise information system enters the process
- where automated processing can follow after an invoice is received
e-INVOICING IN PRACTICE
See the entire process through specific scenarios
The two masterclasses combine the sender’s and recipient’s perspectives, from creating and sending an e-Invoice to receiving it in an information system and processing it further.
The e-Invoicing in Practice event will take place on 13 October 2026 at Hotel Bratislava.
