Autumn ITAPA 2026: Technology is no longer a question of the future
It is already present in hospitals, shaping the security of organisations, transforming the way the state operates and taking over an increasing share of work once done by people. That is why Autumn ITAPA 2026 will not only be about what new technologies can do. More importantly, it will be about what we can actually do with them – today, in concrete terms and in real-world practice.
Three days. Three key thematic areas. And dozens of answers showing how things will REALLY work.HEALTH DAY | When AI Comes Closer to the Patient
Piotr Pedowski will address the topic AI in clinical practice: what can it do and how can it be deployed safely?
We will present concrete solutions that save time for both healthcare professionals and patients: Patrik Harmaňoš and Branislav Jančovič will introduce MEDORA: the story of a Slovak AI assistant for doctors.
Michal Chovanec will show what SAMO – when AI helps detect a problem earlier means in practice.
But technology does not have to remain inside the hospital. Ľubomír Sluk will explain how it can support care in the home environment, Slávka Porubcová will open the topic of 3D-printed medicines – changing personalised treatment in Slovakia, and Michal Geroč will present Tailor-made surgery – from a patient’s CT scan to a 3D tool.
And alongside technology, there remain questions that technology alone cannot solve: Slovakia is ageing. Who will take care of us – and who will pay for it? Or: Who will pay for the digital outpatient clinic?
CYBERSEC DAY | What Happens When Technology Fails?
Cybersecurity is no longer just an issue for the IT department. It is a question of whether the entire organisation can continue to function.
During the second day, we will address topics such as How to keep critical services running during a cyberattack, How to verify identity and the trustworthiness of communication in the age of deepfakes and AI-enabled fraud, Security risks arising from dependence on cloud, AI and technology suppliers, and Who bears responsibility for cyber risk at the management level?
And we will move even closer to real-world scenarios. AI as an attacker and AI as a defender – agentic attacks, automation, AI-based detection and response. Ransomware and incident response in practice – what happens from the first alert to the restoration of operations. Fraud detection in authorised transactions. Automating incident response.
Vladimír Stančík will open the topic When AI becomes part of the company – from adoption to secure operations.
DIGI DAY | From Strategy to What Actually Works
What will Slovakia’s AI landscape look like? And what will remain for people to do as AI takes over more and more work?
Martin Albrecht will present the topic AI for Slovakia: from strategy to results. Peter Trajlinek will speak about Quantum Slovakia: from strategy to infrastructure. We will also look at questions such as What will Slovakia’s AI run on? / Digital infrastructure for bridging regional disparities, One person, one state: services without ministerial silos, and What did we actually digitalise under the Recovery Plan?
The programme will also feature Building a European AI Champion: The Mistral Story and What Comes Next, as well as a question that will increasingly affect the world of work: AI is taking over more and more tasks. What will remain for people?
