1984 - 1990 – MsNV chairman in Vranov nad Topľou
1993 - 1994 – Manager of a private company’s division
1994 - 2002 – Mayor of the town of Vranov nad Topľou

1990 - 1992:   deputy of the House of Parliament of the Federal Assembly of CSFR in Prague  
- President of the Educational Gymnastic Unions and Clubs in the Slovak Republic
- Vice-chairman of the Slovak Association of Physical Culture  
- External teacher at the Department of Politics at University of Prešov – subject of public administration
