Peter Fifka is a member of the Microsoft Digital Crimes Unit (DCU), a unique team in the tech industry, focused on making the world safer by disrupting some of the most difficult cybercrime threats facing society today, particularly botnet-driven Internet attacks. He serves as the senior program manager of investigations for Microsoft Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). He is responsible for enforcement actions in the various areas of digital crimes.

Peter Fifka began his career at Microsoft in 2001 by specializing in investigations in Eastern Europe. Before joining Microsoft, he was sent by his national administration to the Interpol General Secretariat, where he served for six years as liaison officer to Eastern European countries. In his last two years at Interpol, Fifka worked in the Strategic Planning Unit and shortly also as the Assistant Director in charge of Identification Services at Forensic Support and Specialized Databases Sub-Directorate.

Peter Fifka graduated from Slovak Technical University, and began his career as an analytical chemist in his native Slovakia, researching drugs. Later on he joined the Slovak National Police as a forensic chemist. During his career within the national law enforcement agency he held several managerial position within the criminal investigation service.
