Over the last 4 years eInvoicing has become more and more mission critical to many public sector organisations and governments across Europe. With government procurement accounting for more than 2.200 billion Euro within Europe, and only 5% of this is awarded through electronic systems, it is clear that the potential of savings is really big. According to the European Commission Green paper on eProcurement annual savings would be close to 50 billion Euro. This is one of the reasons why the PEPPOL project was initiated by the European Commission, and also why a new EC large scale project will take over this fall 2012 - eInvoicing and eProcurement will be common components of the future European IT infrastructure.

Martin Beňo
He graduated from Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology at Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava. Since 2006 he has been working for GS1 Slovakia as an expert and consultant for EDI which is electronic data interchange (e.g. orders, invoices) between business partners.
On national and international level he is a member of several working groups that aim for setting standards for electronic communication and their real life implementation. Since 2011 he is the official representative of Slovakia, delegated by Ministry of Finance, at the European Multi-Stakeholder Forum on E-Invoicing. He contributed to creating of the Slovak National E-Invoicing Forum under Ministry of Finance in 2012.

Christian Vindinge Rasmussen
Christian Vindinge Rasmussen has been working for the Danish Government the last 5 years with projects like eProcurement, PEPPOL.eu, NemHandel, Mobile Services, Internet of Things, Project Management Methodologies, Cloud Technologies, Smart Cities and more. He is currently working as Head of Beneficiary for Denmark and Work Package Manager for Post Award and Infrastructure in the EC Large Scale Project called PEPPOL.eu. Today Christian is also an active reviewer and evaluator on several other EC projects through out the ICT sector. Before this he was employed by LEGO as lead project manager for the LEGO.com website. Christian holds an MSc in Business Administration and Information Technology.
