With more governments seeking to modernize and streamline the democratic process, e-Democracy services are becoming increasingly commonplace in e-Government strategies. Electronic voting (e-Voting) is often seen as a solution to reducing falling levels of election participation, offering a secure engagement platform for overseas voters, and a way of empowering voters with disabilities privately and independently.
The presentation explores the reality of delivering e-Voting services in the cloud and addresses the issue of how to leverage the benefits of a cloud based deployment, whilst tackling the challenges of ensuring privacy and security of sensitive data.
