Štefan Pilár
Lawyer specializing in cybersecurity, personal data protection, IT law, electronic signatures, and AI. His professional focus also includes training courses and seminars on the implementation and practical application of legislative requirements in these areas of expertise. He participates in implementation projects introducing measures for the processing and protection of assets in the healthcare, public administration, cloud computing, telecommunications, and financial sectors. He has worked on projects related to digitization and the transition to a paperless environment, including the use of electronic signatures, electronic seals, and time stamps for major software companies, telecommunications operators, and banking and financial service providers. Štefan also complements his practical experience in cybersecurity by assessing clients' compliance with cybersecurity regulations as a certified cybersecurity auditor and ISO/IEC 27001 Lead Auditor. He is a member of the Cybersecurity Association (AKB).
In the past, he has held several positions at the intersection of law and IT, serving both as a legal advisor to CSIRT and as a co-author of Act No. 69/2018 Coll. on Cyber Security. He is also a co-author of a commentary on the Cyber Security Act. At the international level, he has acted as a national expert in the field of cybersecurity within the working platforms of the European Commission (NIS Expert Group, NIS Comitology Committee, Cybersecurity Policy - Galileo). As a national legal advisor, he regularly represents the Slovak Republic at the Locked Shields international cyber defense exercises.
