The building of electronic services in public administration - why it isn't working everywhere

Building of electronic services of public administration means one of the declared priorities of development of information society in the Slovak Republic. The Slovak Republic, however, despite this declared priority, still occupies the last places in evaluation within the European Union.

The presentation deals with the most important implemented projects in the field of building electronic services of public administration. He tries to summarize the achieved results as well as causes of subjective and objective successes or failures of those projects.

An independent part is devoted to creation of conditions which would support building of electronic services. Here are solutions designated which can be used properly at efficient building of electronic services of public administration.

Vice President of IT Association of Slovakia for eGovernment. In 1986, he finished his university studies at the Department of Computers of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, SVŠT in Bratislava. After completing his studies, he continued to work at the university and in 1995 defended his candidate's dissertation in the field of artificial intelligence.
