Cybersecurity job roles and their qualification requirements
Slovakia is the first EU country to incorporate requirements for employment of cybersecurity job roles that are fully compatible with the European ECSF framework through its legislation. How many experts do we need to fill these roles and how can we get them in the healthcare sector? The lecture will also include practical information on which roles are necessary for medical professionals, how to fill them and how to educate medical staff.
Cybersecurity in healthcare is not an "IT topic" but a matter of operations and patient safety. Audits for 2023 show that healthcare ranks last among sectors in meeting statutory requirements. That’s why we should focus on roles, education, and practical steps you can take right away. Healthcare professionals work with sensitive data and on systems that must operate continuously, yet audit results show low legal compliance. Providers are split between those who are "providers of essential services" and have statutory obligations, and others (often outpatient clinics) to whom the law does not apply, though the risks are the same.
