Why innovate directly in hospitals

After years of working with startups, accelerators, and hospitals, Gray says he senses fatigue and concern in Slovak healthcare about the pace of global change. Many institutions struggle with limited budgets and systems that find it hard to absorb new developments, yet it is precisely innovation that increases productivity over the long term and supports economic growth. Examples of countries that have deliberately bet on technology and entrepreneurship show that strategic innovation translates into higher GDP as well as higher-quality services. For Slovakia, he says, this means moving from passive waiting to actively building capacity directly within hospitals.
